Sic Bo

The main objective of the game is to place a bet on what you think the outcome of the dice roll will be. Three dice are used in Sic Bo. Because there are so many possible dice combinations, the table features a seemingly endless amount of betting options.

Players must choose a space to bet on and place their chips on the table. The dealer then spins a wire cage that contains the dice. The Sic Bo table is fashioned with lights, so that the winning dice combination is lit up on the table Players can simply glance at the table to see whether or not they have won. Players who hit their bets are paid off, and players that lose their bets watch as the dealer takes their money from the table.

Bets
There are eight varieties of bets to make in Sic Bo. Within each bet type, players have even more options.

One of a Kind
A one of the kind bet is a wager on one number. If that number comes up once, players are paid 1 to 1. If that number comes up twice, the bet is paid off 2 to 1. If the number shows up on all three dice, then players are paid off 3 to 1

Two of a Kind
A two of a kind wager is a bet placed on two identical numbers. If these two numbers show up, the bet is paid off 8 to 1.

Duo
Duo is a wager on two non-identical numbers. Players can select from a list of available combinations. If the two numbers show up on the dice, players are paid 5 to 1.

Three of a Kind
Three of a kind pays 150 to 1 in the rare instance that the specific number (that you've selected) shows up three times on three dice.

Three of Any Kind
A three of the any kind bet is a wager that pays 24 to 1 if any three matching numbers appear on the dice.

Small
Players can bet on the total of the dice values to be small. A small total is any combination that adds up to 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10. The small bet pays even money.

Big
The big bet also pays even money. Players who bet on a big total will win when the three dice that are rolled add up to 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 or 17.

Sum
With a sum bet, players pick a single number. If the total of the three dice values adds up to this number, players are paid out according to a set payout scale.

Strategy
Sic Bo has a pretty massive house edge, so if you enjoy the house having a huge advantage, then you'll love this game. If you're the type of gambler that doesn't like to fight an uphill battle against the house, then stay away from Sic Bo. If you must play, stick to the big and small bets. The house advantage on those wagers is only 2.78 percent.
